AMVETS is once again working to ensure our organization's membership data is accurate and complete. This is a project we take on every five to 10 years.

The AMVETS Membership data verification project is underway!

Strengthening the connections in the membership body is a high priority for AMVETS National Headquarters.

​

As a crucial step to strengthening those connections, the AMVETS NHQ team is undertaking a data verification project and the creation of a new printed AMVETS Membership directory for the organization's 80th Anniversary.

​

This directory will help members connect with each other.

 

We have contracted with Publishing Concepts (PCI) to verify the accuracy of membership data currently on file. PCI has begun mailing postcards and sending e-mails to alumni in October. The communication requests AMVETS members to call a telephone number to verify or update their membership profile.

​

When members call, they will be offered the opportunity to purchase a printed or digital directory. You are under no obligation to purchase anything. Regardless of whether you purchase the directory, we thank you for updating your information.

​

The new membership directory will be available in print and digital formats in 2026 once this comprehensive process is complete.

 

PCI is a longtime, trusted partner of AMVETS and is strictly using the membership contact information for this project only.

Verifying your profile information will help strengthen our membership network and provide important connections to career and personal networks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1 - I received an email/postcard/ from a company asking for my personal information and said they were working with the AMVETS National Headquarters. Tell me more about the project.

Answer 1 - AMVETS has partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce our new 80th Anniversary Membership Directory. PCI is a family-owned business based in Dallas, TX that has published numerous directories for AMVETS over the decades as well as many for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities, and other military and veterans organizations across the nation for over 100 years.

This project allows AMVETS to receive important updates to our database so we know more about our members and how we can better serve you and future alumni.

Question 1a - Is the email from PCI safe to open?

Answer 1a - We are aware of the email you received and can confirm that it is a safe source. It is not a spam or phishing attempt, and you are encouraged to call the phone number provided within the email. The link provided in the letter was generated by PCI to take you directly to: amvets.org/verification.

Q2 - Does the AMVETS organization benefit from this at all?

A2 - Yes! In a few different ways:

Updated Information – allows us to effectively communicate with and engage AMVETS members

Pride – wearing apparel shows support and love for our organization

Q3 - How do I know my information will only be used for Membership database purposes?

A3 - PCI is committed to protecting your information. The names, addresses and information provided to PCI for the publication of the database will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Directory and except as required by court order or law.

Q4 - I would like to verify or update my information. How may I do this?

A4 - If you received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a real, live human being representing this AMVETS project. They will verify the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed.

If you received an email with an embedded link, simply click the link to go to the online site and review your information.

​

If you did not receive a postcard or email, you may call the dedicated AMVETS update line at 1-888-892-3781.

​

If you are living internationally or are unable to call the update line, please email customerservice@publishingconcepts.com. PCI will send you a personalized link to update your information.

Q5 - Can I choose what information prints in the AMVETS Membership Directory?

A5 - Yes! When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative if you prefer any of your information be excluded. You can also communicate your preferences to PCI’s customer service helpdesk at 1-800-982-1590 / customerservice@publishingconcepts.com or to the organization directly.

Q6 - Can anyone purchase a Register?

A6 - The AMVETS Membership Directory is available for sale only to AMVETS members. You can be listed in the Directory whether you decide to purchase a copy or not.

Q7 - I ordered a Directory/package over the phone and would like to cancel my order. How do I do this?

A7 - Contact PCI’s customer service helpdesk at 1-800-982-1590 / customerservice@publishingconcepts.com and they will promptly take care of this for you.
