The AMVETS Veteran Friendly Employer of the Year Award program recognizes employers from the private sector and government (local, state, and federal) who have made great strides by employing veterans. There is also a Special Award for individuals assisting veterans, preparing them for employment, and finding veteran-friendly employers and resources. These individuals would be from Workforce Boards, other government, and private agencies that assist veterans.

We hope you will take the time to apply telling about an employer in your community or an individual that exemplifies a Veteran Friendly Employer of the Year. Employers are also encouraged to submit nominations.
Awards are given at the AMVETS National Convention in August.
