AMVETS (American Veterans)
AMVETS National Headquarters, January 25, 2019 – AMVETS applauds forward movement to end the government shutdown, ending a terrible point in our history where the United States was unwilling to pay its Coast Guardsmen, furloughed military veterans, law enforcement workers, and many other hard working Americans.
Given that this temporary funding may very well quickly leave us back at the point of crisis, AMVETS calls on Congress and the White House to immediately pass legislation that will responsibly fund the federal government for the year and stop future chances of any of our service members from going unpaid. National security depends on it.
