conference with Mathew alongside, signing autographs for his newest fans.
The newly established AMVETS Racing is a partnership between family-owned M.A.T. Williams Racing out of Tucson, Ariz., and AMVETS. Mathew, the 19-year-old driving phenomenon and son of Air Force veteran Tony Williams, hopes to debut in the ARCA stock car series this season, on his way to a potential berth into NASCAR’s top three series.
Mathew is eager to get behind the wheel of his Impala, representing one of the nation’s leading veterans’ service organizations. After two successful seasons in NASCAR’s “Whelen All-American Series” in Tucson, Mathew is ready to take the next step in his career.
The partnership between M.A.T. Williams Racing and AMVETS will allow AMVETS racing fans across the country to follow Mathew’s progression as he seeks a berth in NASCAR’s Craftsman Truck or Nationwide Series, while helping to raise funds for AMVETS programs at the post, department, district, and national levels.
Under the umbrella of AMVETS Racing, AMVETS will receive exposure at AMVETS Racing events across the country. AMVETS also has the potential to receive a share of associate sponsorships from AMVETS Racing, as well as access to merchandise at wholesale costs or consignment to assist in post and department-level fundraising events.
