PETITION #09-39 TO THE U.S. CONGRESS IN SUPPORT OF AMVETS RESOLUTION FOR VETERANS HEALTH CARE FUNDING

It is critical that Congress reform the VA health care budget process to guarantee sufficient, timely and predictable resources to cover the expenses of the veterans’ health care program.

Insufficient, late and unpredictable health care funding endangers the specialized programs the VA has developed to improve the health and well-being of our nation’s sick and disabled veterans.

The VA has reached capacity at many of its health care facilities and is unable to provide timely access to quality health care to many of our nation’s sick and disabled veterans.

The resolution under consideration is necessary. I implore you to ensure the VA receives adequate, timely and predictable funding so our veterans can get the health care they deserve.
