AMVETS REINTRODUCES MEMBERSHIP DRIVE INCENTIVES FOR 2010
WASHINGTON, Nov. 12, 2009--This Veterans Day, AMVETS will once again launch its Green for Green Hats and Commander's Challenge coin membership drives.
In an effort to boost membership outreach, AMVETS is offering Bass Pro Shop and Home Depot gift certificates for AMVETS members, or "Green Hats" who successfully recruit 25 new members. Members who also recruit five new AMVETS can earn an AMVETS National Commander Duane J. Miskulin challenge coin.
"Membership is the life blood of our organization. Our large, diverse membership is what gives our organization credibility within our communities and clout on Capitol Hill," said Cmdr. Miskulin. "With a new generation of war fighters returning from the battlefield and previous generations looking to get more involved, an inclusive organization like AMVETS offers our heroes the perfect opportunity to continue serving."
This year's Green for Green Hats and Challenge Coin programs will run from Veterans Day through Memorial Day. Entries for these membership challenge incentives should be post marked no later than May 31, 2009.
To take advantage of this membership drive incentive, send your submissions to the AMVETS National Membership department at AMVETS National Headquarters, 4647 Forbes Blvd., Lanham, Md. 20706.
