Transportation Manager

DL LSS Joint Venture, a joint venture between Dae Sung, LLC and LB&B Associates Inc., is seeking a Transportation Manager (Project Manager) for its contract to provide Logistics Support Services at Fort Detrick and Forest Glen Annex in Maryland.

The Transportation Manager will oversee the daily Transportation Motor Pool Operations that include; Dispatch and Shuttle Bus Operations, Fleet Management, and Driver Qualification and Licensing. The Manager must be highly knowledgeable of and have experience with; All Vehicle Operations functions and activities; overseeing multiple vehicle dispatch functions, planning and scheduling transportation support, performing fleet and operations analyses, administering driver qualification and licensing programs, investigating accidents or incidents. They must also have strong working knowledge of; Quality Control, Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Logistics, Dispatching, Transportation, and all applicable DOT laws and regulations.

Minimum qualifications include but are not limited to:

• 15+ years management experience in military logistics (Army preferred)
• 10+ years progressive experience in Transportation Motor Pool/Vehicle Operations
• Must be customer-focused and dedicated to meeting customer expectations and requirements.
• Must be adept at; financial management, planning, negotiating, developing schedules, managing others, anticipating and adjusting to operational contingencies.
• Must be results driven, bottom line oriented and continuously seeking efficiency and productivity improvement.
• College degree in Logistics or Business required
• Must be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Must have a valid driver's license (CDL preferred) and safe driving record within the past 36 months, as defined by Company policy.
