This is a professional position with Children’s Medical Service (CMS) Managed Care Plan and Specialty Programs. This individual is a subject matter expert that performs independent and complex work for the CMS central office that serves as the CMS Managed Care Plan Communications Coordinator.
EXAMPLES OF WORK
•Plan, organize, implement and evaluate all communication initiatives for the CMS Managed Care Plan.
•Assist in the development of the CMS Managed Care Plan communication strategies with members, providers and other stakeholders.
•Assist Subject Matter Experts in gathering and sharing prompt, accurate, detailed information on specific public health-related topics.
•Design presentations, press releases, articles, brochures, fact sheets, and other documents related to CMS.
•Develop and implement the brand and style of the CMS Managed Care Plan.
•Review selected publications and material produced within their Division or Office on behalf of the Office of Communications with the goal of ensuring Brand and Style Guidelines are consistently used.
•Develop and manage communication policies and procedures that align with the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care contract between the Agency for Health Care Administration and CMS Managed Care Plan.
•Develop innovative ways to communicate CMS messages statewide using all available media.
•Develop and implement strategic plans for communications, outreach and awareness to ensure messages are consistent with the overall brand and to promote the positive image of CMS.
•Develop and manage training materials for CMS statewide staff.
•Serve as the CMS Communications Liaison for the DOH Office of Communications.
•Keep the Office of Communications updated on pending issues or reports that may generate media interest.
•Collaborate with the CMS Website Administrator to design and write website content that will appeal to and engage the children, families and healthcare providers that we serve.
