Essential Functions:  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Ensures welcoming physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant, including inspecting tabletops, countertops and side stations.
  2. Ensures positive guest service in all areas.  Responds to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to run dissatisfied guest into return guests.
  3. Supervise the performance, attendance, attitude, appearance and conduct of service team.
  4. Assist with the development and training staff.
  5. Works with the F&B Managers to ensure that all financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  6. Ensures safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.  Completes accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or team member is injured.
  7. May participate in the selection of service team and assist in their development.
  8. May work closely with the F&B Managers in the development and implementing of marketing promotion strategies for the restaurant/bar to increase revenue.
  9. Manages shifts which include:  daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.  Investigates and resolves complaints concerning food quality and service.
  10. Welcomes and greets guests warmly and professionally.
  11. Communicates with kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction with food and service.
  12. Observes diners to ensure guest are satisfied with food and service, and responds to any requests.
  13. Helps to clear and reset tables at the end of each course or upon completion of the meal as needed. 
  14. Prepares guest checks as needed. 

Qualifications

Education:  High school education/GED.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ previous restaurant supervision experience is required.
  • Skills and Abilities:  Must be able to pass TIPS certification/alcohol awareness training and food handler training.
  • Knowledge or and ability to operate a computer.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to provide friendly guest service with a smile.
  • Able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to motivate team members to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards. 
  • Possess the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant challenges.
  • Must be ServSafe certified.
