This is advanced and specialized nursing work, requiring certification in a specialty area, providing family planning services, low risk prenatal care, STD services, and/or performing certain medical procedures within established protocols. This position evaluates risk factors and lab results for patients who present for care and refer as appropriate for further evaluation and treatment. This position is responsible for administering and implementing nursing standards for the practice of advanced registered nurse practitioners, as well as planning, coordinating and implementing program policies and protocols. This position works under the direct/indirect supervision of a physician and under written protocols. This position is delegated as a Career Service position that is eligible for on-call pay per any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Must have a license as a nurse practitioner in the state of Florida. Six months or more of experience or training in providing adolescent health services (Your experience and/or training must include family planning and STD) preferred.. Must have one or more years of experience or training in providing women’s health services (Your experience and/or training must include prenatal care, family planning, well woman, and STD).
Masters or Doctoral Nurse Practitioner degree preferred.
