AMVETS Donates School Supplies To New Jersey Families and Schools

Sponsored by Riverside/Delran AMVETS Post 251 | Post Commander Ramon Villanueva Jr.

Members of Riverside/Delran Post 251 AMVETS (American Veterans), a premier veteran’s service organization, recently distributed school supplies to children of past and present service members as well as many community members in need.

The supplies were donated to AMVETS by Dollar Tree via their Operation Homefront program where they support military families through their Back-To-School Brigade.

The project was pioneered by Post 251 Commander Ramon Villanueva and Suzanne Malecki, 1st Vice commander. Ron “Paladin” Franks, life member of Post 251, Lenny Bryant, member Post 251 and the AMVETS NJ Princess, Tayler-Marie Alicea were on hand to sort out the donations into categories..

We also donated to local schools to include the Joint Base Maguire, Ft. Dix, Lakehurst and teachers from Willingboro Township and PTA leaders. This is a savings to teachers who lay out their own funds making the school year successful.

AMVETS Department of New Jersey’s HQ is located at 611 Beverly Rancocas Road in Willingboro, NJ. We provide a wide variety of veterans informational services. We are veterans helping veterans in the community.
